Information about the Via Ferrata Barbara to Fanes Waterfalls
The excursion itinerary is fascinating and varied and includes two sections of easy via ferrata. The path goes along the stream Rio Fanes and through the woods, passing bridges, waterfalls and canyons.
The via ferrata is equipped with a fixed steel cable. The itinerary draws a circle passing over the stream canyon and includes an amazing passage behind the waterfall, which is more than 90 metre high.
The excursion starting point is the car park located in San Uberto hamlet, north of Cortina towards Fiames. The trail that leads to the starting point of the via ferrata is easy and passes through the woods.
The time required to complete the via ferrata ascent is two hours, while the excursion overall duration time is four hours.
It is also possible to go by mountain bike from Cortina to the via ferrata and backwards.
