Classic rock climbing route in Cortina on Lastoi de Formin, Via Priolo del Grande Pilastro

This classic climbing route was opened by G. Buzzi, G. Calzi, R. Priolo, and N. Zeper in 1974

The Via Priolo del Grande Pilastro is a classic climbing route in Cortina area, very enjoyable and highly recommended. It stretches out on the vertical face of the peak Gran Pilastro Nord-Ovest (north-west pinnacle) of Lastoi de Formin, mostly along dihedrals and cracks.

There is a challenging runout when traversing towards the left, in the final part of the path, followed by the most difficult final pitches and the very last one, on an amazing overhanging dihedral.

The quality of the rock is very good, while the protections (pitons) could be improved and their number increased. The route includes some V°+ moves.
