E-Bike Excursion to Col Rosá

The Col Rosá Mountain lies within the Ampezzo Natural Park and is the northern Mountain at the end of the Cortina Valley on the Northern side.

We offer a loop itinerary around this isolated mountain, along dirt trails leading to Posporcora Pass at 1724 meters.

Along the trail, it is possible to stop and admire the tallest tree in Cortina or enjoy the sight of the highest waterfall in the Dolomites, a water drop of over 90 meters.

The flat trail fully crosses over the wooded ridge of Tonde de Cianderou, reaching a wooden bench where you can admire the Cortina Valley from up high; this makes for a beautiful e-bike experience.

Fun fact: in the proximity of Pian delle Spine you can observe strange figures hanging from the trees in the wood, or even bookshelves carved inside the trunk of a tree. This is all part of a project of the local public school of fine arts.

Information about the Col Rosá excursion

From downtown Cortina we take the old railroad tracks towards Fiammes.
Once we cross the bridge over the Boite River, we head towards Pian de Ra Spines, ending up near the Fanes Waterfall. Following a nice dirt road, we reach the Cadoris Bridge where a series of climbs begin, with steep sections at times, until we get to the Posporcora Pass, at 1724 meters. Taking Trail #409, we cross over a flat section through the woods, reaching the panoramic overlook above Cortina. A long and fun descent first takes us to a turquoise lake in the woods, and then to Cortina.
