Ferrata Hans Kammerlander

This via ferrata is dedicated to the strong "Himalayan" mountaineer @HansKammerlander, expedition companion of @ReinholdMessner. A "low altitude" route that climbs along a rock face hidden by a dense forest of larches, firs and birches. A very challenging and adrenaline-filled route with overcoming Tibetan bridges, suspended ladders and technical and exposed passages. From the first meters you can perceive the difficulty of the itinerary which continues for around 3 hours of climbing. Therefore it is recommended to have good experience and physical strength to safely tackle this via ferrata. My applause goes to the local Alpine Guides who equipped this spectacular route in an impeccable and safe manner

 DESCRIPTION VIA FERRATA HANS KAMMERLANDER

By car you reach the village of Acereto in the province of Bolzano where you park your car under the church bell tower. Following the directions of the via ferrata you reach the starting point in approximately 35-40 minutes of walking.

The first stretch of via ferrata immediately presents an athletic and steep climb, to reach the first suspension bridge. Continue through beautiful and technical climbing, zizagging a little to the right and a little to the left until you reach the second suspension bridge. Once over the bridge, a truly adrenaline-filled and exciting stretch awaits us, a staircase suspended in the air with an aerial crossing under a large roof. The second part of the via ferrata is slightly easier but still exposed and pleasant. The return takes place along a normal downhill road and colorful meadows with beautiful flowers.
