Ski Mountaineering in the Forcella Fanes

In winter the huge rocky wall of Great Lagazuoi, Cima Scotoni and Torre del Lago offers fantastic and striking ski mountaineering trips, in the typical dolomitic environment that characterizes them.

The ski mountaineering trip to Forcella Fanes passes just under the west face of Cima Scotoni, a vertical wall rising over 550 meters. For several years this wall has been the reference point for great alpine challenges, attracting the strongest climbers from all over the world.

Information on the ski mountaineering excursion to the Forcella Fanes

By Lagazuoi cable car we reach the ski run descending towards Val Parola. After leaving the regular slope, we go off-piste to the Lagazuoi Alp, gently descending just below the Forcella del Lago.

We climb this beautiful pass to the top and we go along slopes never exceedingly steep to the Forcella Fanes at 2810 meters.

The Northern view of the three Tofana Mountains is overwhelming!

We begin our descent along the same valley, reaching trail #11 to Col de Locia which leads us to Capanna Alpina.

We then return to the Lagazuoi cable car by taxi.
