Information on the ski mountaineering excursion in Marmolada to Forcella Marmolada

We get to the large parking lot in the Malga Ciapela area by car; then we take the modern and fast cable car taking us to Punta Rocca, a spectacular panoramic point in the Dolomites at 3250 meters.

We begin skiing right away on the north side of the glacier along beautiful slopes down to Pian dei Fiacconi. There we start climbing on seal skins. This climbing section is very gentle and not very steep up to the pass, which is then tackled using crampons.

Once we reach the pass, we climb down the opposite side, facing south, along the vertical via ferrata section, reaching over beautiful slopes until we arrive at the Malga di Contrin.

After we get to the malga we continue along the valley on a snowy trail reaching the ski runs leading to the town of Alba di Canazei. We go up to the Fedaia Pass by taxi and we return on skis to the parking lot on a groomed trail.
